The style and the size of temples vary from each other and are known for erotically created sculptures on the walls of the temples.
The Ghats of Varanasi
The flight of steps which lead you to a river are known as Ghats and the Ghats of Varanasi are amongst the most famous in India. The city itself is located on the banks of most sacred river of India, Ganga. Pilgrims from all over the world come to cremate their dead, take a holy dip, or meditate on the banks. The Jaisalmer fort was built in 1156 by the then ruler, Jaisala. While about 25 percent of the city population still lives within the fort, cars are still not allowed inside the fort.
Qutab Minar is visible even from miles away as it is the highest structure in India. The ruins of India’s first mosque can still be seen around Qutab Minar. The construction of Qutab Minar was started by Qutubbudin Aibak and the work was continued by his successors. The Qutab Minar itself is created of Terracotta as well as sand stones.
